|Exhibition: January 4 – February 15, 2013 The Dalton Gallery – Center for the Arts, Rock Hill
Locks, lipsticks, perfume bottles, compacts, gloves, doors, and chocolate candies oh my! They have taken up residence in the new art works featured in the exhibition The Tints That Glow by Caroline Rust.Using Lord Byron’s poem She Walks in Beauty as a backbone, the Tints That Glow embodies installations of paintings and objects. Through a study of cosmetics and the woman’s utensils, these works investigate the internal lives of women while focusing upon her objects either cherished or loathed.Caroline received a BFA from East Carolina University and an MFA from Winthrop University.
