Jon Prichard Goes Dancing Again.

Standard

The UNC Charlotte Dance Ensemble will be featuring a work choreographed by North Carolina Dance Theatre company member, David Ingram, with art work and libretto assistance from Department of Fine Arts Adjunct and MFA grad Jon Prichard. This work is part of the Dance.Draw project that investigates the interface of technology and dance. Sybil Huskey is a co-PI on a 3-year National Science Foundation grant that is funding this work. She also has a work on the program with art work by Mike Wirth, faculty member at Queens University. There is a third Dance.Draw piece which also has kinetic imagery in the background. Lots of visual eye candy and good dancing! The concert is at Robinson Hall on the UNCC campus, March 28-31 at 8 p.m. and April 1 at 2 p.m. Enter campus from Highway 49 or University City Blvd. and turn into campus. Bearing right at the roundabout, you will see Robinson with the glass front. Keep going a short distance and you will see guest parking.

  1. I’m going to see it Thursday evening! I am excited! I expect great things and am always interested in how creative people combine separate media into a new form of art. Should be an interesting experience. Thanks for the info!
