3D Strikes Again!

Attached are a few images from the completed Cubic Space Project. Students built 8″x 8″ open cubes (a la LeWitt), then created elements inspired by Serra’s verb list and placed them within the parameters of the empty cubic space.

This project came about after a 15 second conversation with Shaun Cassidy in late August and was made possible with the help of our studio tech and woodshop guru, Andrew Davis and thanks to the peer support of Leah Cabinum and TA, Anastasia Netrebine.

All three foundations 3D 1 classes have been in sync this semester and thus all the projects have had a collaborative feel. This project is no exception. The cubes were designed to be stacked en masse or individually, depending on the space.
