The Undergraduate Juried Exhibition is an
opportunity for visually creative freshman to
senior level students to exhibit in a
professional gallery setting.
Artist, curator and alumni, Paul Matheny,
is this year’s juror who has selected
an exhibition from a variety of media
and disciplines including painting, drawing,
sculpture, jewelry/metals, photography,
ceramics, design, and printmaking.

Graduate Students, Jon Hoffman & Janet Lasher MFA Exhibition is opening tonight in the Elizabeth Dunlap Patrick Gallery. Exhibition will run until April 15.

Janet Lasher’s Artist Talk will be Tuesday, April 9 in Rutledge 119 at 8 p.m. The title of her show is, “Unintentional Development.”

Jon Hoffman’s Artist Talk will be Thursday, April 11 at 8pm in the Elizabeth Dunlap Patrick Gallery. The title of his show is, “We’re Not Hanging That in the Living Room.”

Janet Lasher, MFA candidate, featured in the Winter’s issue of Surface Design Journal

Standard

Janet Lasher’s sculptural installation, Conscription is featured in the
Winter 2013 issue of the Surface Design Journal.  The installation featured
includes 24 figures (each 47″h x 13″w x 9″d) sculpted in handmade abaca
paper cast over reed and is completed with a stitched sinew spine.

Janet has been selected to exhibit her work in conjunction with the 17th
International Surface Design Association Conference to be held in San
Antonio, in early June. Janet is completing her MFA this semester; she is a
sculptor with particular interest in organic materials and stitch.
“Currently I am exploring themes related to childhood development.”
